Look, you cannot resist viewing these best images by York Daily Record photographers

Look, the blog on Yorkblog.com that features the handiwork of York, Pa., Daily Record/Sunday News photographers, leads with an image of coverage of Tropical Storm Agnes. That’s fitting considering the terrible storms that have damaged Kentucky and the Southeast and taken more than 35 lives. Agnes struck York County 40 years ago this year, costing at least five lives. You don’t know what you’ll find on Look, the new blog profiling the good work from York Daily Record/Sunday News photographers.

Here’s the blog’s purpose:

“A picture may be worth a thousand words, but there is often more to say about a great photograph. The York Daily Record’s award-winning visual staff offers a peek behind the lens and into the process of capturing, editing and publishing their most interesting photographs, video stories and more.”

And here are a few of the photos posted on there:

From photographer Chris Dunn: About a week and a half ago, my editor asked me if I get motion sickness. I don’t remember everything from that conversation, although the facts that a) I commandeered a teacup in that infamous Disney World ride, b) made my boyfriend feel sick afterward and c) didn’t feel sick myself afterward seemed to qualify me as A-OK to fly in a single-engine Cessna for an assignment. Suffice it to say that, while I didn’t throw up, I did feel queasy for the next 10 hours after landing. But I didn’t let my in-flight stomach somersaults get in the way of my photography… .

From photographer Paul Kuehnel: A successful, independent business to the rear of your home. Near the River Bakery, Wrightsville. Originally Shot with a Droid X, processed with Photo.lab on Android, posted with mobile WordPress. (Click to enlarge photograph.)

You get the idea. These photogs, indeed, are writing – or capturing – the first draft of history. Check out Look.
