York County veterans tell their stories: Linked in with neat York County history stuff, Nov. 12, 2011

York, Pa. Daily Record/Sunday News photographer Kate Penn put together a memorable Veterans Day package. Visit  ‘Saluting their Service’  to see how this visual journalist portrayed York County vets who served America – from World War II through Iraq and Afghanistan. And see how York County honored its veterans on 11/11/11. Also of interest: New York County exhibit covers 20th-century wars: ‘We willingly served our country because they asked us to’.

I am speaking at the 30th annual Frederick Holliday Celebration, sponsored by the York City Human Relations Commission Tuesday night (on the history of racial relations in the county) and a meeting of the National Organization for Women on Wednesday night (on women who have achieved in York County’s past.)
