The York County Heritage Trust<\/a>, 250 E. Market St., is presenting a case exhibit displaying artifacts linked to presidential visits to York County.
\nThe exhibit, to be unveiled on Saturday, is tied to next week’s inauguration of U.S. President Barack Obama<\/a>.
\nThe library at the trust has a large collection of presidential-related artifacts, including newspaper clippings, photographs and campaign posters… .<\/p>\n

\nOne such poster <\/a>touts John F. Kennedy’s visit to the York Fair in 1960.
\nAnother special artifact is a record of Lyndon B. Johnson’s<\/a> speech during his visit to Dallastown in 1966. (To see the text of that speech, click here<\/a>.)
\nArchivist Lila Fourhman-Shaull pointed out that the record also includes comments Lady Bird Johnson<\/a> made during the visit, celebrating Dallastown’s 100th anniversary.
