Photographs from York College of Pennsylvania’s archives help tell the school’s story
This photograph leads a gallery of several York College of Pennsylvania images that tell the story, however briefly, of this longtime community institution. This is an architectural drawing of the York Collegiate Institute building from the noted York, Pa., Dempwolf design firm. This 1886 landmark, at College and Duke streets, came down in the demolition craze that bulldozed many other significant city buildings in the 1960s and 1970s. The aptly named Campus Park is there now. The long history of York College is preserved in its Archives and Special Collections department in Schmidt Library. For more photos, see below.
