York Sunday News columnist Gordon Freireich wrote about former York artist Cliff Satterthwaite in a recent column.

The artist, well-known around York 50 years ago, saw Gordon’s work and sent images of two paintings that I’ve never seen before. The two York scenes are shown here.

Cliff wrote Gordon: “I have many paintings & drawings from the area, which I can submit for, at least your pleasure.”

I hope he sends them and Gordon, in turn, passes them on to me.

The artist’s good work deserves re-discovery in his longtime home of York, Pa.
