YorkCounts shares new community indicators report
Jane Conover, Tracy Daniels and Robert Woods of YorkCounts visited the York Daily Record editorial board today to share the most recent update of the group’s community indicators report. The report is a treasure trove of data that gives a sense of how our community is doing on such fronts as education, the economy and health and safety. It’s a data geek’s dream, and it certainly helps our editorial board focus on areas of concern where our community needs to focus resources.
We also discussed the recent release of YorkCounts’ police regionalization study that found a regional metro police department in the center of our county could save municipal taxpayers about 9 percent.
Look for editorials soon on both of these important reports.
