ydr-l-energy-1113 — York County commissioners are
considering millions of dollars worth of energy efficiency projects. The company
that would do them is McClure Co., the same one that the county said
was responsible for a carbon monoxide exposure at the prison in November
2012. Commissioner Doug Hoke said he’s been told the county was made
whole for any expenses that occurred from that carbon monoxide incident.

Building Products request to rezone a 16-acre parcel in York City is
dealt a setback after the Planning Commission voted against a curative

ydr-l-snow–1113 — Snow can apparently create confusion, and
some tension, for York County officials. One day last week, the courts
and some row officers decided to close their operations. But county
commissioners decided to keep the offices they oversee open. So district
attorney employees and prothonotary employees who stayed home that day
will get paid as usual. But employees in the public defender’s office
had to come in or use up one of their paid time off days. The county has
received a grievance from the union representing public defender
attorneys. (Mahon)
