Staff members at 1891 Loucks Road engage the York community
The York Newspaper Co.’s Audience Department winning contestants – and their work of art – in the snowman race in Christmas Party festivities at 1891 Loucks Road.
York Newspaper Co. President Sara Glines praised employee support for charities in the community in her holiday note to staff at the YNC and York Daily Record/Sunday News.
“Thank you for participating in our charity funds. We provided more than 70 children with a merrier Christmas through your toy donations. We’re providing meals to those in need through the Christmas Emergency Fund. And your gifts to United Way fuel worthy local programs throughout the year. These are efforts we can all be very proud of.
“And thanks for the memories from another fun holiday party. We once again had a few laughs, a few friendly competitions, and a really delicious lunch.
“I wish each of you a holiday season filled with good health and much happiness.
“Enjoy this festive season.’
More on the Angel Tree Program:
George Lenker of the Salvation Army wrote this note after picking up Angel Tree gifts this year. ‘I just finished picking up all the toys at York Newspaper Company. That was fun. You and your associates should be proud of your participation in the Angel Tree Program. Our Angel Tree director tells me the paper has had an Angel Tree every year for as long as she can remember and a lot of toys are contributed.’
