Seeking business reporter, web curator
Interested in joining the Daily Record/Sunday News? Lucky for you, we’re looking for a business reporter and breaking news curator. Read a little more abut the positions.
1) Business beat: With a focus on manufacturing and an approach built around how consumers spend, save and earn, this journalist will use all available platforms to serve our community with the business news it needs. Our reporters use words, photos and video every day. Our journalists report live from the field, develop unusual and alternative approaches, target mobile audiences, and work closely with their editors to pursue in-depth and investigative pieces. Candidates should contact A.M.E. for Content Susan Martin at smartin@ydr.com.
2) Breaking News curator: This journalist will help curate multiple news websites and mobile platforms for a five-county region, ensuring that our work is presented and promoted as effectively as possible. Our reporters and photographers will be well-served by this curator, who will help layer and enrich the content they file from the field. And at times, this person will pick up the phone to get comments from a police chief or to help direct our troops in the field. We’re looking for a problem-solver who is adept across many platforms and remains quick and calm amid chaos. Apply to Breaking News Editor Kate Harmon, who can be reached at kharmon@ydr.com.
