Pulling together ongoing coverage, and putting the news in context

The heroin problem in York County came to the forefront last year as the death toll from overdoses mounted.
A task force convened and brought a presentation to raise awareness to towns in every corner of the county.
In the York County Coroner’s annual report, the numbers showed what they were saying: Overdose deaths from heroin in 2014 were more than triple the number in 2013.
This past year, lives have been saved by anti-overdose drugs carried by police officers, and reporters have told stories of how heroin has impacted people’s lives.
As efforts to combat the heroin problem continue and with all the stories to be told, we realized there should be one place where people can find all of the stories, information and resources on getting help.
Here is that one stop for all that information.
We always hope to serve a need in the community in this service-oriented profession, and this seemed to do that: Our stats guru, Joel Shannon, reported that this page has been popular with readers over the few days since it was posted.
