Digital First Media names Sara Glines Publisher of York Daily Record and York Sunday News
New York, NY (April 5, 2012) – Digital First Media today named Sara Glines, Publisher of the York Daily Record and Sunday News. She will also have responsibility for the Lebanon Daily News, Hanover Evening Sun and Chambersburg Public Opinion, as well as President of the York Newspaper Agency.
Ms. Glines has been a Vice President at Digital First Media since it was formed in September 2011 to manage both MediaNews Group Inc. and Journal Register Company. She has been with MediaNews Group Inc. as a Vice President of Field Operations, based in Denver, since May 2010, and before that as Vice President of Interactive Operations and Multimedia Sales since September 2003. Ms. Glines has previously held positions with Advance Internet, Hachette Filipacchi Magazines and Journal Register Company leading digital strategies and operations. She began her media career in the newsroom of the San Francisco Examiner under the Hearst Corporation.
“Sara has worked at the corporate level to lead Pennsylvania and other MediaNews Group newspapers through the transformation to Digital First Media. She is uniquely qualified to now step in and lead the local transformation,” said John Paton, Chief Executive Officer of Digital First Media.
Ms. Glines replaces Fred Uffelman, who is retiring after 28 years with York newspapers.

Ms. Glines’ appointment is effective immediately. She will relocate from Denver, CO to the York, PA, area.
