How a modern journalist works: Creating interactive content that connects with the news
Every day, I try to be creative and think outside the box and connect with what’s going on around me. The content I create enriches what we have online and sometimes attracts readers who might not otherwise be interested.
For example, I watch Game of Thrones and the Season 5 finale is June 14. So, to connect with a show a lot of people are talking about, I created a ContentTools Ranker in which you can to choose who you want dead and in what order. After last week’s episode, a lot of us have Stannis Baratheon at the top!
I also developed a “Game of Thrones” Playbuzz gallery quiz in which gamers match the quote to the character who said it. It’s a lot of fun. Try it!
