Nearly every week during the high school sports season, the YDR sports department produces a two-part video that breaks down YAIAA sports. The dashing duo of reporters John Clayton and Steve Navaroli are the faces you see in front of the camera. Intrepid producer Matt Goul, a sports copy editor, is the man behind the scenes (but has been known to flash his pearly whites for viewers every so often).

The fall season was the first where we tried to take GTPA TV on the road. Each week, the crew hit a different school to talk to football coaches and players. It was a pretty successful formula — one we hope to continue as the winter season opens in earnest Friday with hoops tournaments.

Tonight was an exception as all the coaches we called were away at scrimmages. So our trio shot the first episode breaking down the boys’ and girls’ basketball seasons from the office.
