Behind the scenes of GameTimePA TV

Steve finishes writing down his notes, while Matt gets ready to move to the conference room to shoot the video.
Nearly every week during the high school sports season, the YDR sports department produces a two-part video that breaks down YAIAA sports. The dashing duo of reporters John Clayton and Steve Navaroli are the faces you see in front of the camera. Intrepid producer Matt Goul, a sports copy editor, is the man behind the scenes (but has been known to flash his pearly whites for viewers every so often).

Steve, who wishes he were a little bit taller and a baller, gets his dribble on.
The fall season was the first where we tried to take GTPA TV on the road. Each week, the crew hit a different school to talk to football coaches and players. It was a pretty successful formula — one we hope to continue as the winter season opens in earnest Friday with hoops tournaments.

John shows up Steve with some agility work.

Tonight was an exception as all the coaches we called were away at scrimmages. So our trio shot the first episode breaking down the boys’ and girls’ basketball seasons from the office.

Matt gets the settings just right before taping begins. Our newsroom is in the background.

Be sure to visit GameTimePA.com every week to watch a fresh episode. And look for the GTPA crew at a gym near you during the season!
