Just out–the brand new 2012 edition of Journal of York County Heritage<\/em>, a popular periodical published annually by York County Heritage Trust. The new edition offers five well-researched articles on a variety of events from the 19th and 20th centuries. <\/p>\n

\u201cThe City of York Had a Tabernacle\u201d by Elmer Q. Gleim.<\/p>\n

\u201cA Community Story: The Bambergers Migrate North and Beyond\u201d by Kiara Banks and Justine Landis.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe People of Lewis Miller\u201d by June Lloyd.<\/p>\n

In addition–following in the tradition of the 2010 and 2011 journals–transcriptions of five more letters written by James Smith, York County\u2019s signer of the Declaration of Independence, are included in the 2012 journal.<\/p>\n

The new 2012 journal is $6.95. The equally successful 2011 Journal of York County Heritage is now available at the bargain price of $4.95, and you can get the 2010 edition for just $2.95. An even better deal is both the 2012 and 2011 journals together for $9.95, or all three years(2012, 2011 and 2010) for only $12.95. Since the subject is history, the journals never get outdated. I find they make great \u201chostess gifts.\u201d<\/p>\n

You can purchase copies at the York County Heritage Trust Museum shop, 250 East Market Street, York, PA from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays. The journals will also be available at the YCHT\u2019s Agricultural and Industrial Museum at 217 West Princess Street from 10 a.m to 4 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays.<\/p>\n
