You, y’all, yinz, youins, yous and everyone and their brother
Can you tell from today’s post title what our Yorkism (or set of Yorkisms) is?
That’s right, we’re talking about the word you use to address a collective group of people. You know, “all of you.”
You all?
You?
Y’all?
Yinz?
Youins?
Yous?
Or something else?
I was going to do a poll, but there are almost too many options and variations to choose from, so today, you get “short answer.” Leave me a comment with your favorite York County way to address a crowd, and we’ll talk more about your answers in a future post!
