So here’s something that’s been bothering me for a while. And this morning, I found out that a few other people – including YDR editor Jim McClure – don’t know this either:

How do you pronounce “Monaghan,” the township in northern York County?

Is it MON-uh-han? Is it Mon-AGAIN? Or is it something even weirder, like Mon-OG-an?
