Who was it named after? Gen. Jacob Loucks Devers, the highest-ranking military officer in a long list of York County military achievers.

Fun fact: Besides being a four-star general in World War II, Devers was also a bit of a movie star; he played himself in The Memphis Belle: A Story of A Flying Fortress – and he was on the Ed Sullivan Show!
