Names of York: Charles B. Wallace
More in the ongoing series on the Names of York.
Place: Charles B. Wallace Elementary School, High Street, West Manchester Township (West York Area School District)
Who was it named after? Charles B. Wallace, a former supervising principal.
Fun fact: The school was originally “Shiloh #1.” It now houses kindergarten and first-grade students; second- through fifth-graders who live in the eastern part of the district go from this school to Norman A. Trimmer Elementary.
