Names of York: Arthur Hufnagel

More in the ongoing series on the Names of York.

Place: Arthur Hufnagel Public Library of Glen Rock

Who was it named after? Arthur Hufnagel was born and raised in Glen Rock. His son, John “Otts” Hufnagel, has an extensive collection of local memorabilia and said his father had a keen interest in the history of Glen Rock.

Interesting fact: The library named for Hufnagel celebrated its 70th anniversary in 2006; the postcard pictured below was part of that celebration!
