Meeting readers: One of the things I really love about my job
Hopefully, many of my faithful blog readers know that another hat I wear at the YDR is as administrator of our message boards, The Exchange.
I’ve been doing that since their launch in 2005, and it’s been a TON of fun. Much like with the blog, I enjoy getting together and meeting with people who participate regularly, and it’s always a blast!
Well, during the week between Christmas and New Year’s, some of the “Exchangers” planned a meetup at the York Galleria food court.
Best part? I got to go. During work. To hang out with cool people who were very welcoming and made me feel right at home.
This job ROCKS.
From left, Exchange users azalealady, BHott, JMO, JPaules029 and me (jconcilio). One of those people is a regular commenter here, but I’ll let that person decide if they want to introduce themselves!
As a related note to this – I love meeting readers. And an official part of my job – also cool – is that I am available to speak to your club, group, church, business, whatever, about York County, the York Daily Record and all its publications, and how to share your news with the community. In all seriousness, if there’s anything I can do to help you or a group you’re part of, please let me know by comment or by e-mail to jconcilio@ydr.com.
