Christmas wishes from a loyal reader

Many of you know longtime reader and commenter Betsy Baird. Well, Betsy shared with me a Christmas poem she wrote in 1970, along with an image from her Christmas messages of more recent years, and I asked if she’d mind if I shared them as my Christmas wish to all of you.

Christmas Greetings

May your home be filled with blessings,
May your home be filled with cheer,
May your deepest wishes come true
In the following New Year.

May your heart be filled with kindness,
May your heart be filled with love,
You, among your friends and fellows,
Spread the Peace of the White Dove.

May your home be filled with health,
And the best well-being, too.
May the Christmas Spirit linger
In your home the whole year through!!

– By Betsy Baird

I couldn’t have said it better myself. Thank you, Betsy, for being willing to share that with everyone reading Only in York County today, and thanks to everyone for reading and sharing your own memories and comments. That’s an amazing gift and one I am very humbled to receive.
