Only in York County

Brown’s trip, plus ice cream and antiques

While my in-laws were in town visiting last month, we decided to show them some “Only in York County” sights. My father-in-law is a regular reader, so it seemed like a good fit (Hi, Dad!)

Anyway, we started off with a trip to Brown’s Orchards and Farm Market in Springfield Township, where we got some amazing strawberries (perhaps in the form of a pie…), shopped for some plants and heard some live music by the JC Fisher Band in the pavilion.

We had an idea for dinner, but to kill time beforehand, we wandered around Graybeard’s Antiques in Jacobus, where even us “locals” had never been, and it was amazing. Highly recommended for whiling away a day.

We hit dinner at the Corner Stable in Olde Tollgate Village in York Township, where the “Diamond” steaks were fabulous.

And finally, we stopped for some homemade York County ice cream at Handel’s.

It was awesome! Can you think of a better York County summer day? What would your “ideal day” in York County be?
