Schedule of porch talks at historic YorkCo train depots!

Do like local history? How about sitting outside of a historic train station on a warm summer evening listening to fascinating local stories from interesting speakers and living historians in period clothing? If so, I have a venue and a series of events for you to consider!
The Friends of the Heritage Rail Trail have released their 2019 schedule of “porch talks.” All are free to the public. Bring a folding chair and your questions! Free parking; free attendance!

Hanover Junction Train Station
Wed., June 12 at 7 PM “Living history: Alice Roosevelt” portrayed by Mikele Stillman.
Wed., June 26 at 7 PM “Living history: Joshua L. Chamberlain” by Pastor Curt Weber.
New Freedom Train Station
Wed., July 10 at 7 PM  “The role of Irish Workers on building the NCR Railway and the Irish Workers’ Railroad Museum.” Presentation by Barry Larkin.
Wed., July 24 at 7 PM “Twenty-six Letters,” letters that were written during the Civil War. Presentation by York County attorney Ron Hershner.
