Glen Rock to host free talk on the Rebel invasion and the railroads in York County, Pa.

The Glen Rock Historic Preservation Society will present author and lecturer Scott L. Mingus, Sr. at its Tuesday, July 24, 2012, monthly meeting. Mingus, the author of ten books on the American Civil War, will present a PowerPoint presentation on the Rebel invasion of York County and the role of the Northern Central Railway and Glen Rock.

The public is welcome. There is no charge.

The meeting begins at 7:30 p.m. in the second floor of the Peoples Bank building on the square in downtown Glen Rock, Pennsylvania. The address is 1 Manchester Street. Come early; the museum will be open starting at 6:30. Come browse their displays before the talk.
