Flames Beyond Gettysburg book signing at the York Emporium Feb. 27

Cartons of the new Savas Beatie edition of Flames Beyond Gettysburg: The Confederate Expedition to the Susquehanna River, June 1863 have arrived at the York Emporium in York, Pa. Author Scott L. Mingus Sr. will be signing copies of the book on Sunday afternoon, February 27, beginning at 2:00 p.m. The bookstore is along the historic route of Jubal Early’s division of the Confederate Army of Northern Virginia as it marched into downtown York, Pa., the largest Northern town to fall to the Rebels during the entire Civil War. More than 6,000 Confederates occupied the region after Union militia defenders withdrew, leaving the town defenseless.
The York Emporium is located at 343 W. Market Street (the old Lincoln Highway), York PA. Owner Jim Lewin would welcome your phone calls at 717-846-2866. If you cannot attend the book signing in person, call Jim and reserve a copy, which the author will sign for you. Jim will then mail you the book, or you can stop by at your convenience at a later date to pick up your copy.
